Mission Impossible

Our good friend the Cloud-Watcher has a tendency of pricking our consciences with truths that just can’t be ignored. Here, once again… just that… A piece titled “Impossible! It Had to be Rectified!” There she writes…

“IT IS IMPOSSIBLE
to paint the features of Christlikeness
INTO OUR OWN LIFE
while we paint another face with the colours of hatred and revenge”

“We CANNOT be used by Christ
to further His kingdom, to tell of His love, to sing His praises,
if we are HARBOURING GRUDGES or ILL WILL against another”

Not that any of us would ever do that kind of stuff, but… hey, you really should take a moment and read the entire work found here.

  1. Hank says:

God has no “ill will” towards anyone? What if I have “ill will” towards those whom God has “ill will”? Am I not “furthering His kingdom” when I react the way He reacts? Am I better than my Heavenly Father, able to react in love and kindness when He displays disapproval and judgment? We must strike a balance here. For years the church has done nothing but display a sickening syrupy “love” and you see how well that has worked.

  2. Ill will and grudges…the stuff alcoholics and drug addicts come from, future ones for real.

  3. I nominated you for the Ten Commandments Award. Please visit http://byhisgrace211.wordpress.com/2012/07/15/ten-commandments-award/ for details. God bless you! ~~~Michele
