Meet the Wiebe family: Danny, Dawn, Austin, Caleb, Jacob, and Micah. These guys… and one lone not-so-much-guy, are preparing for a journey. They’re going to N’Djamena. What’s that you asked? No, it’s not in Kansas, Dorothy!
It’s in Chad… as in Chad, Africa, and this family has responded to that still, small voice and replied, “Here am I, send me!”
At his site, A Mission to Chad, Africa, Danny presents compelling evidence for the necessity of their going. There, he asks, “Why is this so important?” He responds, “…there are 72 “unreached people groups” in Chad. Roughly 18 of these “unreached people groups” are represented at College Evangelique! Many of the students from these “unreached people groups” are on this list because they’re either nomadic, or live in hard to reach areas, or are very resistant to the Gospel. Amazingly, there’ll be students in my Bible class that are coming TO ME to learn about the Bible & hear the Gospel &, God willing, respond & become children of God! Then, they’ll go back to their families as little missionaries to, God willing, reach more of these “unreached people groups”! What an AMAZING opportunity!”
The neat thing about their call is that God doesn’t let them hoard all the fun to themselves (you know, like those 120+ degree summer days). He lets us join Him as senders. Let that sink in for a moment.
Want to know how? Simply follow this link to their site where Danny gives the details of how you can specifically pray for and support their ministry. Also, here’s a couple of cool (I’m learning this is one of Danny’s favorite words) clips about them and their ministry.
