… Inside of a dog, it’s too dark to read. -Groucho Marx
Here’s Pot Pie’s good friends, Sadie and Bear. They live in Roswell, on the north side of Atlanta. They spend their days like most in the area; watching Brave’s baseball, burning copies of old R.E.M. albums to CD, and eating sushi with Colby.
Sadie earns her living by locating and assigning veterinarians to clinics around the country, while Bear brings home the bacon arranging paw-boxing matches.
These guys have invested a great deal of effort making life comfortable for their pets, Sue and Lane. But for a life of comfort, Sadie and Bear also have expectations of their pets. They have trained them well. With a simple command, Sue has learned to sit, roll over, and open the door for Sadie. (Pot Pie thinks this is pretty impressive and he’s working diligently with TC to duplicate some of these tricks.)
One of their greatest attributes, and they have many, is their willingness to be there for their friends in need. Whether it’s trouble with the shepherd down the road, testing for heartworms, or just needing a fur coat to lean on, Pot Pie knows his friends are available and willing to be there for him. And what can top that?
“This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:12-13
Oh yeah, I almost forgot… here’s a photo of their pets.
This is fun — thanks! Dogs do indeed show forth how we ought to love one another — just not sure we can be as demonstrative not having such long, lovely tails…
Given their fave music genre, they must woof-woof Everybody Hurts to each other…”hold on…hold on…”
Try as I might, I know I will never get the image of Mrs. Christina singing these words, “hold on… hold on…” out of my head. Your too cool!
Very Nice!
Those are the cutest dawgs I’ve ever seen!!! Love the description of their lives of luxury!!
