Thirst for the Divine

“Lord, teach me to listen. The times are noisy and my ears are weary with the thousand raucous sound which continuously assault them. Give me the spirit of the boy Samuel when he said to Thee, ‘Speak, for Thy servant heareth.’ Let me hear Thee speaking in my heart. Let me get used to the sound of Thy voice, that its tones may be familiar when the sounds of earth die away and the only sound will be the music of Thy speaking voice. Amen. A. W. About mtsweat

Seeking the rest that is only promised and found in Christ Jesus, along with my treasured wife of more than twenty-five years, we seek to grow in our relationship with our Heavenly Father, walk with the Holy Spirit as He moves our hearts, loving others always as Jesus loves us, and carry the news of His glory, the wonderful gospel, that gives light and life where there once was only darkness.

Thank you for the encouragement you give me on my posts. Just when I doubt you click the “like” button. 🙂

Trust me Debby, the inspiration we all receive from your site far exceeds my meager attempt at encouragement. This is an awesome ministry you and your husband have surrendered your lives to. I have included your ministry to my daily prayer list. I am curious… are there opportunities for involvement, such as contributing financially to the cause God has given you? By the way, I read your description of your family as (I think) ‘church-less,’ but that’s impossible when your entire ministry focuses on the fellowship of believers seeking God through meeting needs by Jesus’ grace. That’s the only church I see described in God’s Word. Thank you and God bless.
