Christian Blessings

One of the sites I frequently read posts from is titled “Christian Blessings.” I have recently contributed a post there titled, “Examining Our Priorities During an Economic Downturn.”

After prayerfully considering the gracious offer to be a contributor on this site, I believe, with confidence, that I should do so. The ministry of Christian Blessings reaches into areas of the world that God has given me a great burden for. I believe God’s Word teaches us to be involved in the Great Commission. God calls us to spend and be spent, in sending the Gospel to every inch of the earth we inhabit, from those within our household to the farthest corners of each nation.

My prayer and plea is also that you, my faithful readers who I cherish, will visit the Christian Blessings site and see for yourself all that our Lord is doing through the efforts of these faithful people. God willing, I will soon begin a study of Paul’s letter to the Romans.

“Resting in His Grace” will remain, but as I am sure you understand, my posts may be less frequent.

Thanks to all of you, my great friends and family in Christ.

About mtsweat

Seeking the rest that is only promised and found in Christ Jesus, along with my treasured wife of more than twenty-five years, we seek to grow in our relationship with our Heavenly Father, walk with the Holy Spirit as He moves our hearts, loving others always as Jesus loves us, and carry the news of His glory, the wonderful gospel, that gives light and life where there once was only darkness.

I am glad that you decide to contribute to Christian Blessing’s mt. I don’t post there very frequently but I find that it is a place that I always visit and it is soothing to my soul. We need more people like you who are passionate in Christ to lead others to the door that is open for them. This is a wonderful added venue to the arsenal that God has given us! Loopy

I’ll check out Christian Blessings, of course. And I will continue to visit you here on your blog. I hope you’ll have time to visit and comment on my blogs as you have been such a faithful and encouraging reader. God bless you, always! Carley

Trust me Carley, while I’m breathing the air God gives ( and He allows me access), I will continue to be a faithful reader of your site. I stated earlier, this was a difficult decision. I really love and enjoy the comfort of my personal site. But I am (as someone you’ll recognize once said) compelled to make myself available for the Gospel. Please pray for me, and this ministry. The orchestrator and the advisors of this site (Christian Blessings) have surrendered their lives to a people in faraway lands, much different than ours. But even though there are unsurmountable differences, God has created a link to them. I can’t help but believe these amazing tools of technology were given to us by God to forward the Kingdom. And I pray He allows me to be a small part of His work to reach the unreachable… through blogging. Thank you my dear friend and sister in Christ. God bless.

  5. Checked out the site & subscribed to email notices. Will be praying God’s blessings for you and this new ministry that you are joining, while continuing to follow “Resting In His Grace.”

  6. Thrilled for you! What a promotion from the Lord to reach a wider audience with the Good News. I will have to check out this site. Blessings to you as you walk in this new promotion. I rejoice with you! 🙂

My friend, please know this was a hard decision for me. I was quite comfortable with my site and didn’t really see any reason to change anything. But the ministry of these people kept invading my comfort. Also, there is no “wider audience” at the moment. I’m afraid crickets are chirping at my single post there, as opposed to having my faithful crew at Resting in His Grace. But there are some unspoken and desperate needs where the CBlessings site is impacting most. My heart is broken for these people. I am praying that God will use me in some small way to bring the comfort of Jesus’ love to a people who will never experience the privileges that we do in America. Please pray for this ministry and the people of our world who suffer greatly and endure unreal persecution to name the name of Jesus. God bless you.

Thank you my brother. I hope you know you have been one of the greatest inspirations in my life in the world of blogging. Truthfully, I was about ready to throw my sucker in the dirt, when you posted at just the right time… “one person.” Thank you friend and God bless.

  8. Will do my friend, but I am gonna miss your posts.

Hey my brother, I have no intention of letting Resting in His Grace fall by the wayside. I just feel compelled to offer whatever ability God gives me to reach those who need the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And… life is busy, which means I may be slower in bringing posts. Anyway, you have always been a great encouragement and friend. God bless you.
