Walking through a corn field, a farmer ventured upon a scarecrow. “Wow! You appear to really take your job seriously!”
Thankful to be recognized by someone other than crows, the scarecrow responded, “Yeah, I’m dedicated.”
The farmer then inquired, “Are you any good at what you do?”
To which the scarecrow naturally replied, “Yeah, I’m outstanding in my field.”

David Morsey asks the question, “What does it mean to give glory to God?” “How do believers in Jesus Christ live so that their life brings God glory?” He describes it this way…
“It is not a matter of being great for the glory of God; but letting God glorify Himself through us, however He sees best. Sometimes what we are and do seems lowly in the eyes of others. John the Baptist said, “I must decrease.” Paul said, ‘I have become refuse.'”
“The flesh must often be shattered that the glory of God may be revealed. Death is often referred to as glorifying God. This He said, signifying by what death he should glorify God (John 21:19). We are but vessels of clay housing the glory of God.”
“The desert is full of wildflowers, minute and microscopic. Each one, exquisite in design, is usually seen by God alone. This is what it means to live for the glory of God. Giant Bird of Paradise, or tiny Verbena, everything is for His glory.”
“As members of His body and the radiant effluence of His Spirit, whatever God wants us to do, He will give us the capacity to do, and the desire. And whatever we do, however trivial it may seem, will become part of His glory, manifested in the world.”
Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all things to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

Anne, your happy heart smiles through your words and made me smile in return. Blessings. cc
Hi Mike a great message and one I agree with, what does it mean to put the flesh to death, a scarecrow wouldn’t know but it does it’s job which good crops show. God has prepared in advance His good works for us to do and He equips, empowers and motivates us to do them and unlike the Scarecrow we will know, The Holy Spirit does not leave us in the dark.

Puns are bad. Poetry is verse. lol. Did you celebrate Aid And Abet Punsters Day on Tuesday??? Wise punsters did…and there are others that were otherwise. (sorry…couldn’t help myself). But seriously…I love the whatever of whatever…it includes whatever. Bringing everything under the Lordship of the Lord but also elevating the mundane to glory. Including whatever. Including puns. Thanks for the happy reminder. Blessings. cc
Outstanding! Thanks Mrs. C
