So Abram (Abraham) went as the Lord had told him… (Genesis 12:4)
Here we are simply told that Abram went. God told him to leave (everything) and Abram left.
How I wish I could say the same. You just don’t know how badly I wish I could arrogantly tell you of the many times I know God has said, “Leave, go, give, help, provide, meet, love,” or an endless number of other things that I now know was Him saying, “do it!” …and I did it. But, in reality, too often I didn’t.
I am much more like Moses. When God says, “_________” (fill in the blank), I say, “But, I don’t speak well!”
…and then I’m reminded of God’s words to Moses,
“Who made your mouth?”
The message He had for Moses and me couldn’t be clearer!
“I’m fully aware that you can’t speak well.”

Short and to the point. I agree completely…oh the times I have failed. I think I have failed more then I have succeeded.
Thanks for the reminder to take opportunity in one hand, and the promise of God’s grace in the other…and step up to the plate…
