Imagine that… it’s not my work at all.

My Pastor reminds, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10).”

Did you catch that? Our work was prepared for us long before we realized there was work to be done. Our part? Walk in the good works He has prepared for us…

Sheds a new light on raising our children, doesn’t it? Adds significant meaning to our performance on the job today, doesn’t it? Is there any area of our lives where these words aren’t applicable?

Where are you walking today? (anyone out there old enough to remember the final words of the title?)

  3. Yes I remember the words. They ran through my head as I saw the title. I must be older than I thought – they have gone already!

I believe those words apply to EVERYTHING we do, simply because everything we do should be “as unto the Lord”. I am so thankful that God ‘prepared’ them for I know I (me, myself) could not do them. Praise God for His work in me and through me that enables me to follow His will and do what He calls me to do.

I remember again . . . another day older and deeper in debt. (The first part is true, but thankfully not the second)
