Would you agree that we tend to be a religious bunch? That even on our best days, we still find ourselves embracing a self-rendered salvation, one that says, “Because I am good; God loves me.” One that alternately brings insecurity in our failures? I’ve begun a series of writes at ChristianBlessings to better grasp this predicament I too often find myself indulging in. I’d love to have you join me there. Better still, bring answers with you. Here’s a couple of links…

Excellent post at Christian blessings(your most recent). I truly appreciated this statement from you~~~ When we try to instill moral behavioral change, we point others to religion instead of the gospel. We’re staging a cart about four thousand miles in front of the horse. We’re saying, “Be good so God will like you,” or, “If you’re bad, God will be angry,” when we need only be exclaiming, “Jesus gives His righteousness freely to sinners!”
There is only way one to heaven, one way to God and one way to share the Gospel and that’s to speak the true Gospel according to God’s Words not man’s, then allow the Holy Spirit do His work in conviction of sin!
Thank you! Many blessings
Stephanie
