Arizona Pastor Arrested, Jailed for Holding Bible Study in Home

Sixty days in jail, three years probation, and a twelve thousand dollar fine. The crime? Is it truly possible that in the grand old US of A, Pastor Salman is being hit with these punishments for holding a Bible study in his home?

What’s sad is that the governing authorities in Arizona and everywhere else in America have every right to impose this penalty on Pastor Salman.

Every time we the people allow our government a little more access to our private properties, even in the name of what sounds reasonable, we open the door for foolishness such as this.

Someone long ago suggested that maybe it’s dangerous for too many people to congregate in a home, so we passed a law saying so, and presto…

Still, it’s interesting to me that a Bible study was chosen to enact this law upon. Anyone holding a Tupperware party doing time in the pen? The home-owner hosting an after-prom party? Makes one wonder, doesn’t it?

There’s an article posted here if you care to read more.

  1. Madness! We certainly live in a crazy, mixed-up world.

A Tupperware party or after-prom party is just that , a party, a group participating in a non-threatening affair. But a Bible study, now that is a whole different kind of party, one that educates others about the Person of God which is where knowledge begins. Such knowledge is feared because it threatens a particular agenda, a way of life.

Why do we always seem to think that the end of the world is coming just because this type of thing begins to happen in the good ole US of A. This has been the norm around the world for a very long time. Just because its coming here does not mean the end of the world or that the “Tribulation” is coming sometime in our future. It just means that we as a nation, as nations have before us, are leaving behind the Christian principles that we were built upon and the things that transpire because of this rejection.

It’s obvious to the saints what is happening but everybody else is as blind as a bat.
At least we know how the story would end after the tribulation period. It appears the tribulation period is just in its about to start stages.
Clearly America is not a free or safe country anymore. And the only safe place to be is in Christ. In him we but our trust and refuse to fear.
God would always take care of those that are his.
