Missions is taking the Light to where there is darkness. Missions is not only crossing the sea to a distant land, for it might mean carrying the Light to your coworker. It might mean carrying it to your neighbor across the street. It might mean carrying it to your child sitting across the dinner table.
Missions is taking the Gospel to where it has not been heard or responded to. Missions, no matter where the engagement takes place, near or far, is carrying the true Light of Jesus Christ into the darkness. ~ An inspiring paraphrased thought from CCRagamuffin who insinuatingly asks, “Can we all be missionaries?” “Why… of course we can!”
We *ARE* ambassadors for Christ.
The question is whether or not we reflect Him to all we encounter.
Indeed… indeed! Well said, Angela. Many blessings.
Great post
Thanks, and many blessings to you!
very well written post! YES… as was said “sometimes the darkness is in our neighborhood, the work place and even within our own families”. If there was ever a time for the one True Gospel to be carried to everyone… it is NOW.
Be blessed as you continue to broadcast the truth!
Stephanie
Thanks Stephanie! Your words of response resound with eagerness… blessings to you!
Christopher Wright stated that “We ask ‘Where does God fit into the story of my life?’ when the real question is ‘Where does my little life fit into the great story of God’s mission?” …God is on a mission, and in His great love, grace, and mercy, He invites us along…from anywhere to anywhere. Shall we go?? OF COURSE!!!!!!!!!!
Yes… OF COURSE!!!!!!!
