Should I share how often I’ve thought it profitable to snatch my keyboard from its mother-host, and throw it into the cow pasture north of the big pond? How much more might the bulls do with the ‘letters form words’ than I? Trust me when I say, “many… many is the time.”
Thankfully, there are some wonderful encouragers among us, those who flatter us with fritters, and drone our druthers. These are those who would convince us that blogging really is more than graffiti with punctuation marks.
Still, on occasion, something comes out of the woodwork to really inspire our dabbling. Such is a recent piece offered over ChristianBlessings way, a piece by Helen Murray titled “A Prayer for Bloggers.” It’s a prayer authored by Ann Voscamp, and it really is a tell-all for Christian bloggers.
The prayer alone is worth your visit, but Helen’s interruptions between stanzas is spot-on, and could have easily been my suggestive calls upon the Lord of the Blog. You’ll really want to take a moment to spend some time with this author… and I promise you’ll walk away with your chin up a bit.
This was Great encouragement for the Newest Blogger on the Block!! Thank you for sharing!!
I was indeed greatly encouraged by post at CB, and had a feeling others would be as well. Learning to write for an audience of One is an awesome responsibility, but one with a graspable directive. 🙂
I needed this today. Thanks, Mike.
I’m with you Brother. Helen’s article is a breath of fresh air no doubt. Blessings good friend.
I’m going to begin praying that before I write any post from now on.
