Wasted Lives

lottie moonHearing of her Uncle’s plan to move his entire family to Jerusalem where they would serve and minister through the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Jewish people, young Lottie Moon thought to herself, “If there was ever a single way to waste a life, being a missionary was it.”

Now that’s funny…

About mtsweat

Seeking the rest that is only promised and found in Christ Jesus, along with my treasured wife of more than twenty-five years, we seek to grow in our relationship with our Heavenly Father, walk with the Holy Spirit as He moves our hearts, loving others always as Jesus loves us, and carry the news of His glory, the wonderful gospel, that gives light and life where there once was only darkness.

  1. Once again I think of Jim Elliot’s quote . . .
So live, that when you come to die, you have nothing left to do but die.

Neat you mention Jim Elliot good friend. His biography is saved on my wish list. Coming soon. Many, many prayers lifted for you and your home Angela. May our God strengthen, comfort, and bless each of you. May your trials find you secure in the arms of our loving Savior and Lord. …from our home to yours.

      • Thanks Mike. We have just returned from a trip to visit family – a 2000+km trip and it was good for Myles. He mostly slept in the car. He only needed a spray three times while we were away (rather than often 3 times a day here) and enjoyed the week with our son and his family. Thank You, Lord!

I tried speaking into the box, Mike, but nothing happened. :0)
