I heard a convincing testimony yesterday evening of the wrongness of complaining about our over-busyness, for there is a worse alternative if we take the time (uh oh) to consider it. We are blessed when we have much to do.
I could not help but be moved though this morning by the inquiry of Vachal, “How many sunsets have I missed?” I’m pretty sure I haven’t missed them for the exact reasons in the author’s psalm, but I have missed my share none the less.
It will be well worth a few moments of your time (yes, yes, I know) to take a look at the photo and words of D. G. Vachal’s October Sunset who writes at Lilies, Sparrows, and Grass.

Thanks!
Sometimes being to busy for God can be our sin. We need to be still and rest in His word, so we don’t miss the blessings and beauty He gives so freely. I love the message here.
Shenine
Amen Shenine. Very good words you offer us. Thanks so much for stopping by and chatting good friend. Many blessings to you today.
This paradox of a busy life blessed with rest is one I am still trying g to work out in my walk with God. It seems balance eludes us all. Is it part of the fall do you think?
Great thoughts Pastor J. “Balance eludes us all.” Yes, I think you are right. Just another reason for all of creation to groan in anticipation… Blessings!
I cannot wait for that balance to come and I sense its approach bit by bit as I wait for the day.
Amen!
